For any venue that has an annoying structural pillar falling within the dancefloor area, creating a Video Pillar is the perfect way to convert an immovable obstruction into a dynamic lighting display. Typically created using specially designed modules of either P6 or P10 resolution, the modules are face-mounted onto faceted cabinets which encircle the pillar. By varying the number of facets, the display can be designed to suit any size of pillar. The displays are finished and protected by encasing them within CNC formed 10mm tinted acrylic half-shells. When the display is switched off, the appearance is that of a smooth glossy black column with the video concealed within. When the display is playing, the faceted nature of the video panels is undetectable. This solution for encasing a pillar is far more cost effective than using a flexible LED display.
